Job summary

MEDIKO is seeking a Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive mental health care to inmates in a correctional setting. You will conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnose disorders, and plan treatments onsite for 18 hours per week, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and maintaining accurate medical records.

You will ensure regulatory compliance, support the mental health program, and contribute to quality improvement while delivering evidence-based, compassionate care to underserved

Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted state license.
• Completion of an accredited medical school program; board certification preferred.
• Active CPR/BLS certification.
• DEA registration, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnose mental health disorders.
• Develop treatment plans and manage medications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
