Zusammenfassung

MEDIKO is seeking a Psychiatrist to deliver comprehensive mental health services to inmates in a correctional facility. The role involves evaluations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management, working within a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated, evidence-based care.

You will maintain medical records, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to the ongoing mental health program while providing patient-centered care in a secure setting.

Qualifikationen

• A current, valid, and unrestricted state license.
• For advanced clinical roles, completion of an accredited graduate or professional program is required.
• A current, valid DEA registration, if applicable.
• Board certification in a relevant specialty is preferred, if applicable.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical practice, with at least 1-2 years in a correctional healthcare or underserved population setting preferred.
• Experience in diagnosis, treatment planning, and providing healthcare services in a managed care or correctional facility setting is highly preferred.
• Active CPR/BLS certificate required (American Heart Association/American Red Cross guideline approved).

The Psychiatrist will provide comprehensive mental health care to patients in a correctional setting, including psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management for individuals with mental health disorders. This role will collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure integrated, evidence-based care. The Psychiatrist will also maintain accurate medical records, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and support the overall mental health program within the facility.
