Job summary

Behavioral Health Network in Worcester seeks a Psychiatrist for outpatient and emergency programs. You will perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, manage psychopharmacologic treatments, and collaborate with care teams, families, and residents.

Reporting to the Medical Director, you will supervise residents and provide clinical consultations to APRNs, contributing to teaching and program development. BHN offers generous PTO, 403(b), tuition reimbursement, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with completed Psychiatry residency.
• Massachusetts medical license (MD/DO).
• DEA certificate.
• Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration.
• Knowledge of current psychopharmacologic interventions.
• Ability to treat diverse populations with sound clinical judgment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with clinical and agency technology.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive psychiatric evaluations with formulations.
• Evaluate and prescribe psychopharmacologic treatments per standards.
• Engage family and collateral contacts in treatment planning.
• Produce timely clinical documentation and bill for services.
• Provide clinical supervision to psychiatric residents.
• Offer clinical consultation to APRNs regarding care needs.
• Participate in clinical team meetings with outpatient clinicians.
• Use agency technology to support teamwork and quality.
