Empower Mental Health PLLC is conducting VA Compensation & Pension evaluations. This is a non-treatment, non-therapeutic, 1099 independent contractor role with compensation on a per-evaluation basis. Telehealth and in-person opportunities are available.

As a Psychiatrist, you will perform objective assessments for Veterans, follow VA guidelines, and deliver concise reports with strict neutrality and professional standards.

Qualifications

Job Title: Psychiatrist–VA Compensation & Pension Evaluations

You will be conducting VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) evaluations for Veterans. This role involves performing objective, structured psychological assessments to assist the VA in determining disability benefits. This is a non-treatment, non-therapeutic role focused strictly on evaluation and documentation. Evaluations may be conducted in person and/or via telehealth, depending on assignment needs. This is a 1099 independent contractor position, compensated on a per-evaluation basis.

Responsibilities

• Evaluation & Assessment: Conduct structured psychological evaluations for Veterans based on VA guidelines.
• Utilize Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and standardized assessment tools.
• Gather relevant history through focused, objective interviews.
• Objective Reporting: Document findings clearly and concisely in VA-required formats.
• Provide factual, unbiased assessments without influencing outcomes.
• Complete and submit reports within required timeframes.

Non-Treatment Role

No diagnosing for treatment, therapy, or medication management.

Maintain strict boundaries between evaluation and clinical care.

Professional Standards

• Adhere to all ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards.
• Maintain professionalism when working with Veteran populations.

Qualifications

Compensation & Structure

1099 Independent Contractor Position.

Salary: $175-$285 per evaluation.

Flexible scheduling.

Telehealth and in-person opportunities available.
