Job summary

Empower Mental Health PLLC seeks a Psychiatrist to perform VA Compensation & Pension evaluations, as a 1099 independent contractor. The role can be conducted via telehealth or in-person, with flexible scheduling and evaluation-based pay.

You will conduct structured assessments for Veterans, use VA formats and DBQs, and provide concise objective reports while maintaining neutrality and time discipline.

Qualifications

• MD/DO license holder.
• Strong report-writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to follow structured evaluation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Evaluation & Assessment
• Conduct structured psychological evaluations for Veterans based on VA guidelines
• Utilize Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and standardized assessment tools
• Gather relevant history through focused, objective interviews
• Objective Reporting
• Document findings clearly and concisely in VA-required formats
• Provide factual, unbiased assessments without influencing outcomes
• Complete and submit reports within required timeframes
• Non-Treatment Role
• No diagnosing for treatment, therapy, or medication management
• Maintain strict boundaries between evaluation and clinical care
• Professional Standards
• Adhere to all ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards
• Maintain professionalism when working with Veteran populations

This role involves performing objective, structured psychological assessments to assist the VA in determining disability benefits.This is a non-treatment, non-therapeutic role focused strictly on evaluation and documentation. Evaluations may be conducted in person and/or via telehealth, depending on assignment needs.This is a 1099 independent contractor position, compensated on a per-evaluation basis.

Compensation & Structure

$175-$285 per evaluation
