Newly Enhanced, ED-Aligned Compensation

Carilion Clinic is investing in emergency psychiatry with a compensation structure designed to recognize the pace, acuity, and specialized clinical judgment required in the emergency department.

ED physician-aligned base rate: Higher base hourly compensation commensurate with Emergency Department physicians

Substantial shift differentials: Additional compensation for weekend and weeknight coverage

Flexible practice model:Position may include virtual telepsychiatry coverage, with additional hourly incentive for in-person emergency department coverage
