Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA, invites a Psychiatrist - Inpatient to join the collaborative inpatient psychiatry team at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. This physician‑led system supports academic ties with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and offers teaching and mentorship to residents and medical students.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, participate in research, and contribute to a system with multiple residency programs and fellowships.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification or eligibility (ABPN).
• Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a focused inpatient caseload (10–12 patients/day).
• Treat an acute adult population in a high acuity, short‑duration environment.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.
• Provide thoughtful, patient‑centered care with a focus on quality over volume.
