Carilion Clinic is seeking a Psychiatry physician to join the inpatient service at Roanoke area hospital. The role offers academic ties with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, opportunities to teach residents and students, and involvement in research.

You will manage a focused inpatient caseload and lead a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. The position supports physician leadership within a nationally recognized system that values education,

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification or eligibility (ABPN).
• Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a focused inpatient caseload (10-12 patients/day).
• Treat an acute adult population in a high acuity, short-duration setting.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team, enhancing patient outcomes and leadership skills.
