The incumbent will perform psychotherapy and psychopharmacology, collaborate with hospital teams, and participate in tele-mental health when appropriate. Responsibilities include detailed CPRS documentation, coordination with community MH programs for discharge planning, and adherence to VA guidelines on infection control and quality measures.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree with US medical license and psychiatry training.
• Completion of an ACGME/AOA-approved general psychiatry residency.
• Board certification or eligibility and ability to obtain it.
• Proficient in psychotherapy and psychopharmacology; CPRS documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment for beneficiaries with general psychiatric disorders in various settings.
• Utilize Tele-Mental Health as appropriate based on patient needs.
• Collaborate with community MH inpatient programs for discharge planning and follow-up.
• Document patient care in the CPRS system and adhere to VA expectations.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines; participate in team meetings.
