Job summary

PAGNY is seeking a part-time Psychiatrist - Consultation and Liaison for NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx. The role focuses on providing consults across medical and surgical services within a 213-bed community hospital, linked to Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

The position offers competitive compensation with salary range $166,920–$173,100 based on a 24-hour work week, plus comprehensive benefits, CME, PTO and loan forgiveness options.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
• Board certification or eligibility in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry.
• Active New York State Medical License.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultations referred by medical, surgical, pediatric and obstetric services.
• Assess patient mental health status and diagnosed disorders.
• Document patient progress, develop and implement patient treatment plans.
• Responsible for teaching and supervision of psychologists, psychology interns, medical and PA students.
• Participate in ethics meetings, court hearings, and multidisciplinary rounds.
• Participate in activities related to clinical care and documentation of care, performance improvement, regulatory compliance and student education.
