Physician Affiliate Group of New York, P.C. (PAGNY) is seeking a skilled Psychiatrist for NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi. In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care for a diverse group of Internal Medicine patients in a Level III Patient Centered Medical Home.

Responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations, prescribing medications, and developing treatment plans while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team. Opportunities for departmental representation, research, and leadership education are available.

• Work alongside a group of internal medicine physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, social workers, and case managers providing consultative as well as direct patient care.
• Assess and screen patients by conducting psychiatric evaluations, interviews, medical histories, observations, and psychological testing to diagnose patients.
• Prescribe and administer psychiatric medications.
• Monitor patients to determine efficacy and potential side effects of medications.
• Develop a treatment plan and measure progress.
• Provide crisis intervention.
• Collaborate with a broader team of physicians, psychologists, social workers, nutritionists, and nurses to assess and adjust treatment plans.
