Job summary

Devereux, located at the Viera Campus, seeks a Psychiatrist on an Independent Contractor basis to perform evaluations and provide ongoing psychiatric services. The role involves collaboration with physicians, medication management, and participation in peer review to support patients with developmental and behavioral challenges.

The position offers 32 hours per week (Mon-Thu) with on-call rotation Fri-Sun, at a rate of $165 per hour, and opportunities for professional growth within a leading

  • Doctorate degree required.
  • Active Medicaid provider number and authorization to provide psychiatric services by Chapter 464, F.S. required.
  • Two years' psychiatric experience required.
  • Two years' experience working with children and adolescents required.
  • Two years' experience working with children and adolescents preferred.

Responsibilities

Devereux Florida provides programs and services for individuals with significant intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or emotional or behavioral challenges. T his position is responsible for:

  • Completing psychiatric evaluations
  • Working in collaboration with physician to provide diagnostic and intervention patient care
  • Monitoring and reevaluations as needed
  • Medication management with monthly notes
  • Participation in physician peer review and relevant meetings

Qualifications
Education and Licensure
  • Doctorate Degree required
  • Active Medicaid provider number and authorized to provide psychiatric services by Chapter 464, F.S. required
