CHR Career Opportunities is seeking a Psychiatrist for our Adult Outpatient Program in Enfield, CT. This full-time role involves comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and coordination with community health services.

Ideal candidates hold an MD with board certification or eligible status in adult or child psychiatry, CT license, and experience in adult or child psychiatry, preferably in community mental health settings. Competitive benefits are offered.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time; 40 hours/week

The Adult Outpatient services providepsychiatric & substance abuse diagnostic evaluation and treatment. Services include assessment, consultation, individual, couples, group, family treatmentand medication evaluation and monitoring.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Clinical Management and Services
  • Provide direct clinical services to clients, including psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, ongoing treatment and medication reviews.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with community health organizations and outside medical and psych services to ensure coordination of client care
  • Participates in case conferences/consultations, as required.
  • Works with program supervisors to oversee client treatment plans.
  • Demonstrates competency in age-related or specialty issues and developmental needs for each population served.
• Additional Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintains documentation in compliance with agency and program standards.
  • Participates in staff meetings, supervision, trainings and other meetings as assigned.
  • Additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: M.D. Board certified or eligible in adult or child psychiatry.

Experience: Experience in adult or child psychiatry. Community mental health experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: CT license; Board Certified preferred, eligible required. Board Certified or eligible in child psychiatry for practice with children.

COMPENSATION:

$214,804.10 min-$343,707.10 max

*Actual rates within this range are determined at the time of offer and are based on relevant experience, as well as adherence to our internal equity policy. (Please note, positions less than 40 hours this range would be pro-rated based on hours worked)
