Job description

Position Overview

We are hiring for a Part‑Time Psychiatrist in North Carolina. The role focuses on providing psychiatric and medical assessment, treatment, and supervision to RHA Behavioral Health staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric and medical assessment, treatment, clinical supervision, education, and training to RHA Behavioral Health staff.
• Develop, implement, and supervise medication, psychiatric, and medical treatment policies and procedures.
• Serve as a key member of treatment teams, integrating psychiatric services into clients’ overall care plans.
• Collaborate with RHA staff and community health care professionals.
• Maintain professional judgment and provide services with limited supervision.

• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system with hybrid functionality moving toward full EMR.
• Just‑In‑Time (JIT) scheduling supported by RHA support staff and clinical leadership.

Requirements

• MD residency training program in Psychiatry completed.
• Board certified or board eligible in psychiatry and licensed to practice medicine in North Carolina.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance (condition of employment).
• CPR, first‑aid, NCI certification and other required training.
• Maintain proficiency in company‑sponsored training, certifications, and privileging if required.

Pre‑Employment Screening

• Drug testing.
• Education verification and other credentialing as required.
