As an independent contractor clinician at Teladoc Health, you will be at the forefront of progressive thinking, empowerment, and cultivating connections. Our contractor clinicians provide evidence-based treatment via telephone or video. Teamwork is vital at Teladoc Health, and each clinician collaborates with a practice manager and clinical director, with access to resources and support. Must be able to work independently.

Who we are:

Teladoc Health is creating a new kind of healthcare experience with greater convenience, outcomes, and value. We are currently seeking board-certified Psychiatrists licensed in South Carolina to connect with registered Teladoc Health members seeking care for anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, grief, relationship issues, and other concerns.

Psychiatrists work as independent contractors, allowing you to supplement your current clinical practice or build an entirely telemedicine practice, depending on the states where you are licensed.

This is a remote role in South Carolina

Responsibilities:

• Conduct telemedicine consultations to assess patients' medical and psychosocial needs via video or telephone, maintaining a professional setting for video consults.
• Perform psychiatric evaluations, including intake forms, interviews, medical histories, and observations to diagnose patients.
• Treat patients using psychotherapeutic methods and medications; discuss progress, provide instructions, and monitor medication effects.
• Prescribe and administer medications according to diagnosis. Note: Physicians will not prescribe controlled substances or narcotics scheduled by the DEA and must operate within applicable laws. No guarantee of a prescription for any patient.
• Monitor treatment efficacy and side effects, and evaluate patient progress.

Our minimum requirements:

• Minimum 2+ years of post-residency experience
• Active South Carolina medical license
• Board Certification in Psychiatry (ABMS or AOA)
• Active medical license and DEA registration
• Availability of at least 20 hours per month for appointments
• No more than one open malpractice claim
• No open licensing board complaints or restrictions
• High-speed internet, phone, and video capabilities
