Job summary

Department of Veterans Affairs in Los Angeles is expanding its psychiatric services for a diverse veteran population. You will conduct psychiatric evaluations, manage medications, assess suicide risk, and provide psychotherapy within a multidisciplinary team.

Opportunities exist for leadership roles and involvement with the National Center for Warrior Independence at the West Los Angeles VA campus, contributing to a nationwide initiative to support veterans’ independence.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine.
• Current, full, and unrestricted license.
• Completion of residency in an accredited core specialty.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric care including evaluations, medication management, suicide risk assessments, crisis intervention and psychotherapy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary mental health team to deliver integrated care for Veterans.
• Assist in leadership opportunities coordinating specialty clinics and referral triage.
• Support the National Center for Warrior Independence initiatives and program expansion.
