Job summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs' Greater Los Angeles VA Healthcare System in Los Angeles is seeking a psychiatrist to join a growing, transformation-focused team. Provide comprehensive psychiatric care to a diverse Veteran population served by a dynamic healthcare network.

You will conduct psychiatric evaluations, manage medications, and provide crisis intervention and psychotherapy within a multidisciplinary setting, with leadership opportunities and potential academic appointments.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required
• Current, full, and unrestricted medical license
• Residency in an accredited core specialty completed
• Board Certification or Board Eligible

Responsibilities

• Perform psychiatric evaluations and medication management.
• Conduct crisis intervention and suicide risk assessments.
• Provide psychotherapy as part of comprehensive care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for treatment planning.
• Lead or participate in specialty clinics and manage referrals.

Education

• Salary Range: $265,000-$310,000
• PTO: 50-55 days of PTO annually (26/13 days of annual/sick leave, 11 holidays,)
