STR Behavioral Health in Chester County, PA, is seeking a psychiatry physician to assess and manage medication regimens, diagnose psychiatric conditions, and consult with the treatment team to optimize client care.
The role emphasizes maintaining a safe environment, conducting psychiatric evaluations, prescribing medications as needed, and coordinating with clinicians on treatment plans to support recovery for clients with mental health and substance use disorders.
To meet an ever-expanding need for mental health and substance use disorder treatment services in the region, STR Behavioral Health is excited to announce a new PHP/IOP location opening soon in Chester County, PA. The approach at our treatment centers is firmly rooted in individualized, person-centered care to help clients uncover the why behind their disorders and help them build foundational relationships that help answer the how in moving forward
This position’s responsibilities include ensuring the health and safety of all clients as well as assessing and prescribing appropriate medication regimes. This position also assesses medical and psychiatric issues and concerns then address or make appropriate referrals. This position also approves potential admissions based on medical and psychiatric requirements. This position is responsible for consulting with the treatment team on primary diagnosis and co-occurring issues.
Establish and maintain productive working relationships with peers and accounting team members throughout STR Behavioral Health and affiliated facilities.
Establish and maintain productive working relationships with third party vendors, as necessary.
This position requires at least 3 years of residency in psychiatry. Active valid licensed practitioner in the state of Pennsylvania. Willingness to work with a clinical to make recommendations and implement strategies that will benefit clients. Willingness to take calls during after hour day and times.
