Job summary

Spectrum Healthcare Resources seeks a psychiatrist to work with military families at Joint Base Andrews in the Washington, D.C. area. The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule with 8 hours per day and no nights, weekends, or holidays.

The position requires board certification, a DHA-acceptable psychiatry residency, and an active medical license with DEA. BLS is also required. SHR provides staffing and clinical services to federal facilities.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent medical degree.
• Residency or fellowship in psychiatry acceptable to the DHA.
• Current, unrestricted medical license with DEA licensure for psychiatry.
• Board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
• Continuously employed in psychiatry for at least 24 months within the last 36 months.
• BLS certification.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), or an equivalent degree.
• Completion of a residency or fellowship in psychiatry acceptable to the Defense Health Agency (DHA).
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine. This includes the capacity to maintain a valid DEA licensure permitting the prescription of relevant controlled substances in support of psychiatric practice.
• Current board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
• You must have been continuously employed in the practice of Psychiatry for at least 24 months within the last 36 months.
• BLS

Work Schedule

• Monday - Friday
• No nights, weekends, or holidays
• 8 hours a day
