Qualifications

Responsibilities

Psychiatrist

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a full time Psychiatrist at our Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX. Join us in providing exceptional care to the men and women who have served our country.

Position Details

• Location: Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
• Type of Role: On-site Outpatient setting – Direct Patient Care

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality psychiatric care to veterans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient mental health needs.
• Outpatient setting.
• 6 to 8 direct patient care hours per day.
• He/she shall be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric services.
• Provide general psychiatric care to male and female adult Veterans which includes, but is not limited to, conducting diagnostic evaluations, psychiatric consultation, medication management, and individual psychotherapy.
• The psychiatrist provides assessment of serious and complicated cases involving psychiatric illness, catastrophic medical conditions, dementia, and other high-risk diagnoses.

Qualifications

• Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
• Unrestricted State Medical License: Valid and in good standing in any U.S. state.
• DEA Certification: Current and unrestricted DEA license.
• BLS through the AHA or American Red Cross.
• Experience: Must have a minimum of 24 months of experience within the last 36 months as a board-certified Psychiatrist.
