Job summary

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a Psychiatrist working with military families at Joint Base Andrews in Washington, D.C.

Requirements include an MD/DO or equivalent degree, DHA-acceptable psychiatry residency/fellowship, current medical license with DEA for psychiatry, ABPN board certification, and at least 24 months of continuous psychiatric practice in the last 36 months. BLS also required.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent degree required.
• Completion of a psychiatry residency or fellowship acceptable to the Defense Health Agency (DHA).
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted medical license with DEA for psychiatry.
• Current ABPN board certification in Psychiatry.
• Continuous practice in Psychiatry for at least 24 months within the last 36 months.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric care to military families at Joint Base Andrews.
• Maintain a Monday–Friday schedule with 8 hours per day; no nights, weekends, or holidays.

• Completion of a residency or fellowship in psychiatry acceptable to the Defense Health Agency (DHA).

• Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine. This includes the capacity to maintain a valid DEA licensure permitting the prescription of relevant controlled substances in support of psychiatric practice.

• Current board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

• You must have been continuously employed in the practice of Psychiatry for at least 24 months within the last 36 months.
• BLS

Work Schedule:

• Monday - Friday
• No nights, weekends, or holidays
• 8 hours a day
