Job summary

Harris Health in Houston is seeking a Psychiatric Technician II to support care activities for patients with mental or behavioral health needs under RN supervision. You will collaborate with the charge nurse and staff nurses to ensure patient care and safety are met.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, SAMA certification, Psychiatric Technician I certification, and BLS; two years of related behavioral health experience; and competency in EKG and/or phlebotomy as applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional specialty training as needed.
• SAMA certification and Psychiatric Technician I certification required and maintained.
• BLS certification from an AHA-approved program.
• Two years of related clinical experience in behavioral health required.

Responsibilities

• Supports care activities for patients with mental/behavioral health problems under RN supervision.
