Job summary

Harris Health is seeking a Psychiatric Technician I to support care for patients with mental or behavioral health needs under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will work closely with the charge nurse and staff to ensure patient safety and quality care.

You must have a high school diploma, SAMA certification within 90 days, and BLS. Weekend, holiday, and flexible schedules are typical; EKG/Phlebotomy skills may be required within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• SAMA certification within 90 days of hire.
• BLS (AHA) certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports care activities for patients with mental or behavioral health problems under RN supervision.
• Collaborates with charge nurse and staff to meet patient care and safety needs.
• Demonstrates competence in medical and behavioral health terminology and uses PC applications.
• Shows personal and professional effectiveness in a clinical setting.
