Job summary

Cayuga Health is seeking a Psychiatric Technician for Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, monitor patients, and assist with daily activities under nurse direction.

Required: Associate's degree in Psychology or related experience, TCI training within 3 months, and BLS certification. Preferred: Bachelor's in Psychology and 3 years in mental health. Onsite role with day shifts and rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• TCI training completed within three months of hire.
• BLS certification required or provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Observe patients' behavior, listen to concerns, and record conditions.
• Assist with admitting and discharging patients.
• Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure.
• Assist with activities of daily living (eating, bathing).
• Support team in restraining patients when necessary.
