Job summary

Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services seeks a Psychiatric Technician Level 1 to provide compassionate physical and emotional care for clients with mental illness and developmental delays. You will participate in safety management, crisis intervention, and milieu care while documenting progress and supporting treatment plans.

The role is onsite, typically first shift, with possibility of weekend/holiday hours.

Qualifications

• Completion of a minimum of six months post high school education in behavioral sciences or equivalent is preferred.
• CNA certification or one to two years of college education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides a safe and secure environment for persons served and staff.
• Collaborates in day-to-day planning of person served programming.
• May assist persons served with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Active participation in safety management, crisis intervention and prevention.
• Document progress notes, medication administration, and other relevant information.
• May perform basic office duties such as answering phones and filing.
• Assist in training new staff.
• Support and promote a recovery-focused environment and person-centered approach.
