Job summary

Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Svc is hiring a Psychiatric Technician Level 1 to join a tight-knit team at our Michigan campuses. The role involves providing safe, compassionate care to clients with mental illness or developmental delays, while supporting safety, crisis prevention and treatment plans.

Onsite schedule may require weekends and holidays. Education preferred includes CNA or related college coursework, with strong emphasis on teamwork and respectful, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months post high school education in behavioral sciences or equivalent preferred.
• CNA certification or 1–2 years of college education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides a safe and secure environment for persons served and staff.
• Collaborates in day-to-day planning and development of programs for persons served.
• May assist with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, and hygiene.
• Active participation in safety management and crisis intervention.
• Document progress notes, medication administration and relevant information per policies.
• May perform basic office duties and assist in training new staff.
