Metropolitan State Hospital is located in the City of Norwalk.

Under general supervision of the Registered Nurse Shift Lead / Supervising Registered Nurse. The Psychiatric Technician Assistant assists licensed staff in carrying out activity and training programs for clients/patients. Part of the Interdisciplinary Team fulfilling and demonstrating basic nursing care.
TRAINING EXPECTATIONS: If selected, it is mandatory that you attend New Employee Orientation (NEO) in its entirety. NEO can be scheduled Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. for up to 30 days for level of care staff (clinical).

Candidates must be willing to work in any Unit/Program and any Shift to meet the needs of the facility.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Equivalent to completion of the 12th grade and a valid CA CNA license.
