Job summary

Volunteers of America, Utah is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for our 20-bed psychiatric subacute facility at Creekside Stabilization Center in Murray, Utah. The role involves working with the team APRN to administer medications, monitor patients, and support stabilization for transitions to less restrictive care.

The position offers PRN/part-time 12-hour shifts, with potential weekend overnight hours, on-call coverage, and a $2/hr night shift differential.

Qualifications

• Current Utah RN license.
• Demonstrated crisis intervention skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and adapt to change.
• Computer literacy and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and provide medical services with the team APRN.
• Coordinate required lab work and documentation for the medication system.
• Monitor patients for medical problems and medication side effects.
• Screen withdrawals and manage detox parameters as needed.
• Ensure timely, accurate documentation and participate in planning.
• Attend regular staff meetings and contribute to treatment planning.
