Job summary

Volunteers of America, Utah is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for Creekside Stabilization Center in Murray, UT. The role involves medication administration and collaboration with the APRN to ensure safe, effective care in a 20-bed psychiatric subacute setting.

Shifts are 12 hours, with weekend overnight preference; on-call coverage may be required. Night differential applies. Includes comprehensive benefits and on-site responsibilities to stabilize patients for transition to lower levels of care.

Qualifications

• Current Utah RN license.
• Demonstrated crisis intervention skills.
• Sound judgment within the scope of the position and discretion on confidentiality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to pass Utah DHS background screening and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and provide medical services in collaboration with the team APRN.
• Arrange required lab work and complete necessary documentation.
• Monitor patients for medical problems and side effects; educate patients and staff.
• Oversee medication safety and drug interactions; monitor QTc, lithium, clozapine, and other meds.
