Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital Inc in Columbus, OH seeks a Psychiatric Staff RN for the Child Unit on day shift. This part-time position (0.6 FTE) runs 7:00am–3:30pm, with 24 hours per week and every other weekend.

The RN delivers developmentally appropriate care using a family-centered approach and may float within Behavioral Health units as needed. Required are a BSN or ASN with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years, Ohio RN licensure, and current CPR certification.

Qualifications

• BSN or Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current CPR certification.
• Willing to obtain and maintain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other certifications as directed by leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
• Assesses individualized patient needs and communicates priorities to the care team.
• Plans, educates, and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.
• Documents according to organizational standards and participates in quality improvement.
