Job summary

Alluvion Health in Great Falls, MT, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to support our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and provide outpatient behavioral health care.

The role emphasizes assessments, medication reconciliation, education, follow-up, and care coordination, with a Tuesday–Friday schedule. Montana RN licensure and psychiatric nursing experience are valued; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Montana RN license or ability to obtain licensure prior to hire.
• Previous nursing experience working with patients with psychiatric, mental health, or behavioral health conditions.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and compassionate when working with patients experiencing behavioral health or psychiatric concerns.

Responsibilities

• Complete patient intake, assessments, medication reconciliation, screenings, and clinical documentation.
• Assess patients and communicate changes in psychiatric symptoms, behavior, physical health, or medication response to the provider.
• Support psychiatric medication management, including refill requests, prior authorizations, medication education, and follow-up.
• Monitor and communicate medication effectiveness, side effects, adverse reactions, and adherence concerns.
• Administer medications, injections, treatments, and testing according to provider orders and established protocols.
• Provide compassionate patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, symptoms, and follow-up care.
• Coordinate care with the Psychiatric NP, behavioral health providers, primary care teams, pharmacies, specialists, and community resources.
