Job summary

Oceans Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse at Oceans Behavioral Hospital Broussard to lead milieu management and direct patient care for adults and seniors with anxiety, depression and other psychiatric conditions. You will apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

This role offers a $5,000 hiring bonus, sponsorships for RNs, and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k)

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in the state of employment (Louisiana) or a Compact license.
• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing.
• One year of inpatient hospital experience preferred.
• Willingness to rotate 12-hour shifts in a psychiatric setting.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Identify risk levels and discharge planning in coordination with the patient and care team.
• Administer medications safely and provide patient education on medications.
• Document thoroughly in medical records and communicate patient needs to the team.
• Delegate duties and supervise nursing staff while advocating for patient safety.
