Oceans Behavioral Hospital Baton Rouge seeks a Registered Nurse to lead milieu management and patient care for adults and seniors dealing with anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges.

You will assess patients, develop individualized care plans, administer medications, and ensure accurate documentation following Joint Commission and state regulations. Great team environment with growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Registered Nurse.
• Experience in psychiatric/behavioral health preferred.
• Ability to administer medications safely and document care.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Identify risks and discharge planning tailored to the client.
• Apply psychiatric nursing interventions and progress toward wellness.
• Administer medications as prescribed and educate about meds.
• Maintain documentation and reporting of patient status.
• Follow policies, Joint Commission and state regulations.
• Coordinate staff assignments and ensure continuity of care.
• Utilize nursing resources to enhance evidence-based practice.
• Float among clinical services and perform other duties as assigned.
