Job summary

Havenwyck Hospital in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care for psychiatric patients, including children, adolescents and adults, using the nursing process. The role includes assessing mental health needs, developing diagnoses, outcomes, plans and evaluating care.

The RN will monitor medication effects, ensure patient safety, provide milieu management and crisis intervention strategies, and participate in department planning with the treatment team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing. Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Current status as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Michigan required.
• One year of nursing experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for psychiatric patients using the nursing process.
• Assess mental health needs, develop diagnoses, outcomes and care plans.
• Monitor effects and side effects of medications and treatments.
• Ensure safety and milieu management with crisis intervention strategies.
