Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Current status as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Michigan required.
• One year of nursing experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.
• Current certification in Non-violent Crisis Intervention preferred.
• Current certification in BLS/CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care for psychiatric patients using the nursing process.
• Assesses mental health needs, develops diagnoses, plans and evaluates care.
• Monitors medications and treatments ordered by a physician.
• Ensures safety and milieu management with crisis intervention strategies.
