Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years experience in psychiatric nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assess and care plan for patients; set goals and evaluate actions.
• Develop comprehensive nursing care plans based on diagnosis and standards.
• Direct and provide patient care using nursing process; modify plan based on assessment.
• Provide health teaching to patients and families.
• Ensure safety through rounds and environmental checks.
• Document patient responses and interventions in medical records.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
• Relieve charge nurse when needed.
• Medication administration and prompt reporting of errors.
• Engage patients in full participation of treatment program.
• Act as a cooperative member of the interdisciplinary team.
