Job summary

Sheppard Pratt in Towson, MD is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Co-Ed Adolescent Mood Disorder Unit, providing psychiatric nursing care, crisis assessment, and coordination with a multidisciplinary team. Candidates must hold an active Maryland RN license, have experience in psychiatric settings, and complete orientation.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license in Maryland (or compact state) at time of appointment.
• Experience in a psychiatric nursing setting preferred.
• All new clinical staff will begin extended orientation after first day of employment.
• AHA CPR required before first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care per treatment plans.
• Administer medical treatment as prescribed by physician.
• Teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Provide daily clinical direction to assigned Mental Health Workers or other staff.
• Document and report patient progress to the treatment team.
