Job summary

Children's Health seeks a Psychiatric Resource Nurse to join the Psych Consult team in Plano, TX. This on-site, part-time (24 hours per week) role supports high-risk behavioral patients and provides clinical guidance across the care team.

The position requires a BSN in Nursing and at least 2 years of related experience, with BLS certification. You will collaborate with ICU/ED teams and maintain patient safety while ensuring regulatory compliance.

• Uses clinical judgment based on nursing skills to assess the patient’s situation.

Responsibilities

• Globally assess the patient’s situation using nursing skills and evidence-based guidelines.
• Support bedside staff in providing a safe environment by inspecting rooms and identifying hazards.
• Deliver competent nursing care to patients and families according to identified needs.
• Provide content expertise and education to staff caring for high‑risk patients.
• Serve as a just-in-time resource to bedside nursing, supervisors and physicians.
