Job summary

Centennial Peaks Hospital in Louisville, CO, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking an RN to join our mission-driven team. This role covers designated units with a multidisciplinary plan of care, focusing on psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment in a 104-bed facility.

The Day Shift offers 2 x 12-hour shifts (7a-7:30p) with some weekend requirements. Competitive pay ranges apply, with shift differentials and bonuses possible. Training provided for CPR/BLS and clinical protocols.

Qualifications

• Colorado RN license current or eligible to receive/renew.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to provide therapeutic care to patients with mental health needs.
• CPR/BLS certification through American Heart Association, or ability to learn during training.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care on a designated unit in line with hospital philosophy and multidisciplinary plan of care.
• Prescribe, coordinate and delegate nursing care using the nursing process within the treatment team.
• Be accountable for assigned nursing activities on shift and promote professional nursing practice.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Centennial Peaks Hospital.The Registered Nurse (RN) prescribes, coordinates and delegates nursing care utilizing the nursing process that is integrated into the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care.The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit.

Day Shift: 2 x 12-hour shifts per week, 7a-7:30p; 2 weekend shifts (4 monthly) per pay period REQUIRED.

Pay Range Days: $41.00 - $55.00 per hour (potential with shift differentials and bonus)

Pay Range Weekend Days: $43.00 - $57.00 per hour(potential with shift differentials and bonus)

Pay Range Nights: $46.00 - $60.00 per hour (potential with shift differentials and bonus)

Pay Range Weekend Nights: $48.00 - $62.00 per hour (potential with shift differentials and bonus)

Qualifications

• The ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment is critical.
• Current license to practice nursing in the state of Colorado (or eligible to receive or renew).
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred.
• One-year prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing, preferred.
• Ability to provide therapeutic care to patients with a variety of mental health needs.
• Must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management.
• Current CPR BLS certification through American Heart Association, or ability to learn, this training is provided during training period.
