Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse for a 13‑week temp contract in Rutland, VT. The role covers adults with developmental disabilities and behavioral health oversight, with a typical Monday start, 40 hours/week, first shift, and weekend rotation as needed.

Local pay is $55/hr and travel pay is $2,606. The RN must be licensed in-state, have psych experience (preferred), and meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• One year of psych experience preferred.
• PMH-BC certification preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Job description

The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise. PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, in addition to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, works in a variety of settings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families, and communities when applicable.

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure in-state practicing
• One year of psych experience preferred
• PMH-BC certification preferred
