Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks an experienced Pediatric RN to deliver comprehensive nursing care in pediatric units in Washington state. The role includes patient assessment, care planning, IV therapies, and specialized equipment management for children with varying medical needs.

The RN must hold an active U.S. license with pediatric experience and professional certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS). Per diem travel assignments may require background checks and onboarding per contract terms.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurse (RN) candidates to provide high-quality, comprehensive nursing care within the Pediatric Unit.The Pediatric Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients, including patient assessment, development and updating of care plans, administration of medications and IV therapies, monitoring of blood and blood products, laboratory specimen collection, and management of specialized equipment and treatments. Responsibilities also include catheter, NG, OG, GT, GJ, and ostomy care, as well as providing direct patient care such as positioning, ambulation, transportation, hygiene, and feeding.

The RN must be able to recognize changes in patient condition, identify potential complications, and take appropriate corrective action. The position requires effective communication and collaboration with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, as well as accurate patient reporting and documentation.

This role requires a dependable nursing professional who can meet government qualification, credentialing, security, and onboarding requirements while working under a personal services arrangement. The ideal candidate will have recent pediatric nursing experience, a current unrestricted RN license, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to provide safe, compassionate care to pediatric patients with varying levels of medical and surgical needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive assessment and total care for pediatric patients.
• Administer complex treatments, including IV push medications.
• Monitor invasive and non-invasive equipment and evaluate fluid balance and laboratory results.
• Develop and update individualized patient care plans.
• Provide and receive patient reports and communicate with nurses and physicians.
• Administer and monitor IV fluids, blood, and blood products.
• Perform catheter, NG, OG, GT, GJ, and ostomy care.
• Perform IV placements, laboratory draws, and specimen collection through appropriate routes.
• Change IV fluids and tubing while identifying and addressing potential complications.
• Administer medications through various routes, including oral, IM, SQ, IV, and topical.
• Provide direct pediatric care, including lifting, turning, ambulating, transporting, positioning, hygiene, dressing, and feeding.
• Work within scope of practice and assist in other MAMC clinical areas as needed.
