The Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Wichita Falls, Texas, is seeking a Psychiatric Nursing Assistant II to join the MaxSecPsych Direct Care team at Wichita Falls State Hospital. This full-time role offers a regular night shift and a monthly salary between $3,047.58 and $4,149.83.

You will assist with daily living activities, support recovery plans, monitor patients, and collaborate with the care team to promote safety and quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Twelve (12) months of direct care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of patient care techniques and recovery programs.
• Ability to read, write and understand English for instructions.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment.
• Valid Texas driver's license if transporting patients.

Responsabilités

• Attend regular shifts, possibly rotating or extended shifts as needed.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living to promote independence.
• Monitor vitals and support medication administration under RN supervision.
• Collaborate with the care team and participate in unit committees.
• Promote safety and participate in crisis de-escalation using TIPS when needed.
• Document patient information clearly and timely for care planning.
