Job Summary: The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) at Paving the Way Multi-Service Institute (PTWMSI) provides psychiatric care, including evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, and medication management. This part‑time position allows autonomy and flexibility while adhering to the organization’s values and clinical standards. Responsibilities include developing individualized treatment plans, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and offering staff consultation. The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and a commitment to high‑quality, patient‑centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop treatment plans.
  • Prescribe and manage medications for mental and behavioral disorders.
  • Provide crisis response and medication assessments for clients.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care.
  • Educate and consult with staff, clients, and families on treatment and medication.
  • Maintain thorough documentation in electronic medical records (EHR).
  • Option to practice psychotherapy alongside medication management.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in Washington, DC.
  • Certification from a recognized body such as the American Nurses Association.
