Job summary

CapitolHill Consortium for Counseling & Consultation LLC (CCCC) is seeking one or more Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners to join our multidisciplinary team serving DC, MD, and VA. You will provide high-quality, patient-centered psychiatric care across the lifespan in a flexible practice with admin support.

We offer full-time/part-time schedules, remote, hybrid, or in-office options, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current national Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner certification.
  • Active, unrestricted NP license in Virginia or Maryland.
  • Active license in Washington, D.C. licensure preferred.
  • Prescriptive authority, if applicable.
  • Commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive healthcare.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and health evaluations.
  • Develop individualized treatment and care plans.
  • Provide diagnosis and treatment within scope of practice.
  • Prescribe and manage medications.
  • Coordinate with labs and pharmacies for medication management.
  • Monitor patient progress and response to treatment.
  • Provide follow-up care and education to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with therapists, psychologists, social workers, and primary care providers.
  • Coordinate care and make referrals when clinically indicated.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.

We are seeking one or more Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (NP) to join our collaborative clinical team and provide high-quality, culturally responsive, patient-centered care to diverse populations across the lifespan. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners who specialize in child, adolescent, adult, and elder care are welcome.

Key Clinical Responsibilities

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and health evaluations
  • Developing individualized treatment and care plans
  • Providing diagnosis and treatment within the NP's education, certification, and scope of practice
  • Medication prescriptions and management
  • Liaison with lab and pharmacies for medication and prescription management
  • Monitoring patient progress and response to treatment
  • Providing appropriate follow-up care
  • Educating patients and families regarding health conditions, treatment options, medications, wellness, and preventive care
  • Collaborating with therapists, psychologists, social workers, counselors, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals as appropriate
  • Coordinating care and making appropriate referrals when clinically indicated
  • Maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation
  • Providing culturally responsive, patient-centered care
  • Participating in case consultation and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Practicing in accordance with applicable state laws, regulations, and professional scope-of-practice requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s or doctoral degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program
  • Current national Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner certification appropriate to the clinical specialty and services provided
  • Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner/APRN license in Virginia or Maryland
  • Active license in Washington, D.C. licensure preferred
  • Prescriptive authority, if applicable to the position and clinical scope of practice
  • Appropriate professional credentials required to practice within the applicable jurisdiction
  • Ability to provide high-quality, ethical, patient-centered care
  • Strong commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive healthcare
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Ability to maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation

Priority consideration may be given to Nurse Practitioners licensed across two or more jurisdictions (in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia)

  • Experience working with children and/or adolescents

Compensation

Competitive compensation aligned with insurance reimbursement rates, with opportunities to maximize earning potential based on clinical volume.
