The NP will provide general medical and psychiatric coverage, perform histories and exams, and initiate admission orders under the supervision of a senior psychiatrist.

The role focuses on age-specific assessments and treatments across adult, adolescent, and older adult populations.

Qualifications

• NJ licensed Nurse Practitioner with medical experience and leadership.
• Current DEA and CDS.
• Current BLS Certification. NLN accredited program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical and psychiatric coverage for inpatients and initial evaluations.
• Conduct histories, physical exams, and admission orders with senior psychiatry guidance.
• Address psychiatric needs with senior staff psychiatrist guidance and age-appropriate care.

Hampton Behavioral Health Center is seeking dynamic and talented Per Diem Medical Nurse Practitioner to assist with our inpatient patients. Hampton Behavioral Health Center is a private behavioral healthcare center and offers the most advanced behavioral health, diagnostic treatment services for adults, adolescents and older adults in our inpatient programs.

Responsibilities include general medical and psychiatric coverage that reflects new or ongoing medical problems and initial evaluations. These include: medical histories, physical exams, admission orders, etc. Psychiatric problems and needs will be addressed with the assistance and guidance of a senior staff psychiatrist. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care.
