Hampton Behavioral Health Center is seeking a Per Diem Medical Nurse Practitioner to support inpatient services. The NP will provide medical and psychiatric coverage, perform initial evaluations, and manage histories and exams under supervision, focusing on age-appropriate care across adults and adolescents.

The role requires NJ NP licensure, DEA and CDS, and BLS certification, with NLN-accredited program preferred. This position supports our mission of advanced behavioral health treatment.

Qualifications

• NJ licensed Nurse Practitioner with medical experience and proven leadership.
• Current DEA and CDS.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Graduate of NLN accredited program preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide general medical and psychiatric coverage for inpatients, addressing new or ongoing medical problems and performing initial evaluations.
• Conduct medical histories, physical exams and admission orders as part of patient care.
• Collaborate with a senior staff psychiatrist to address psychiatric needs.
• Apply age-appropriate assessment and treatment plans across patient ages.

These include: medical histories, physical exams, admission orders, etc. Psychiatric problems and needs will be addressed with the assistance and guidance of a senior staff psychiatrist. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care.
