Job summary

SUN Behavioral Health in Houston, TX is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide psychiatric and medical services to assigned patients. You will oversee medication regimens, document in EMR, maintain safety, and contribute to quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate NP program and TX licensure required.
• DEA number and CPR/de-escalation certification required.
• Experience in behavioral health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric and medical services to assigned patients.
• Perform psychiatric evaluations and H&Ps within 24 hours of admission.
• Document all consultations in EMR; maintain compliance with policies.
• Oversee medication regimens and adjust plans with attending physician.
• Communicate risks/benefits of meds and collaborate with treatment team.
