Job summary

MasterMind Clinic PLLC in Colorado Springs seeks a compassionate psychiatric nurse practitioner to join our behavioral health team. You will perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnose and treat mental health conditions, and develop and monitor individualized treatment plans.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or doctoral degree in nursing with an advanced PMHNP specialty, current licensure with prescriptive authority, and PMHNP certification or eligibility.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including history taking, mental status examinations, and risk assessments.
• Diagnose and treat a range of mental health conditions in accordance with evidence-based practice and organizational protocols.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, including monitoring response, side effects, and adherence.
• Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medication use, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, social workers, and other members of the care team to coordinate treatment.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation in the electronic health record.
• Respond appropriately to behavioral health crises and support safety planning when needed.
• Refer patients to higher levels of care or specialty services when clinically indicated.
• Stay current with best practices, clinical guidelines, and regulatory requirements in psychiatric care.
