Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required.
• Active Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner License in NY.
• ANCC board certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with nursing home staff, residents and families.
• Proactively follow up with patients and assess intervention efficacy.
• Provide education on best practices in geriatric psychiatry.
• Round at nursing homes and recommend psychiatric medications and treatments.
• Integrate pharmacological and behavioral approaches, favoring non-pharmacologic options.

• Prolonged sitting. Computer work including keyboard and mouse use for extended periods. Lifting/moving patients.
