Job summary

Infinite Medical P.C. seeks warm and razor-smart psychiatric nurse practitioners to perform consultations in nursing homes.

As psychiatric nurse practitioners, you will be provided full administrative support and clinical mentorship. If you enjoy working on a team with bright, ambitious advanced practice nurses and are seeking the flexibility and autonomy of private practice, this is an excellent opportunity for you.

Qualifications

• MSN required and active practice license in Massachusetts.
• Active Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner license.
• ANCC board certification.
• Willingness to travel within Massachusetts.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Strong patient assessment skills.
• Ability to sit for long periods and perform computer work.

Responsibilities

• Work closely and collaboratively with nursing home staff, residents, and families.
• Proactively follow up with patients and assess efficacy of interventions.
• Provide education on best practices for care.
• Round at assigned nursing homes and make recommendations for psychiatric medications and treatments.
• Integrate pharmacological and behavioral interventions, emphasizing non-pharmacological approaches when possible.

Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)


• Active Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner License


• ANNC Board Certification


• Ability to travel in Massachusetts


• Excellent communication and documentation abilities


• Strong patient assessment skills


• Strong, ambitious, patient-centric work ethic


• Prolonged sitting. Computer work including keyboard and mouse use for extended periods. Lifting/moving patients.
